Buying/Hiring Instruments
Pupils will need access to an instrument for their lessons and for regular practice at home.
EASS has a wide range of instruments available to hire (pupils who attend an Enfield school or live in the Borough of Enfield are eligible to apply. Priority is given to pupils receiving tuition through EASS).

EASS does NOT hire keyboards*, pianos, recorders**, percussion/drum kit, acoustic or electric guitars.
* For keyboard lessons, we recommend that children have an instrument with full-sized keys and a minimum size of 4 octaves (at least 29 white keys).
** For recorder lessons, toy recorders are not suitable.
THE HIRE OF ALL INSTRUMENTS IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY
If you intend to buy an instrument, you may be able to save the cost of the VAT by purchasing the instrument through the EASS Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme (AIPS). The AIP Scheme is subject to certain conditions and is only available to children receiving tuition through the EASS scheme.
